The paintings of Canadian-Iranian artist, Maryam Ebrahimi, are magnetic in their meditative flow. Inspired by the harmony between opposing forces of the natural world, her works present dynamic compositions full of complementary depth and movement. Bold gestures and thick paint present alongside feathered brush strokes and rhythmic silhouettes while vibrant pops of colour are seamlessly integrated within fields of calming palettes. Creating painted compositions of energy and tranquility, Ebrahimi’s practice is a balancing act between the universal principles of yin & yang.

Maryam Ebrahimi holds a Diploma in Graphic Design and Bachelor of Fine Arts. Since immigrating to Canada, her works have been exhibited extensively across Ontario and internationally in Iran, the United States, Mexico, France, China and Japan. Her paintings have appeared on the sets of numerous television shows and films as well as House & Garden Magazine, UK and are held in corporate and private collections in Canada, the United States and Europe. Ebrahimi currently lives and works in Richmond Hill, ON.
